Smile

Smiling is good for us, smiling brings happiness, it makes us feel happy.

“Sometimes your joy is the source of your smile, but sometimes your smile can be the source of your joy.” —Thich Nhat Hanh.

There truly is magic in your smile. And smiles are contagious! When you smile, not only do you feel happier, but also the people around you will start to smile and in turn will feel happier. But as we grow up we seem to smile less. children smile up to 400 times a day, while adults smile only about 20 times per day, even if it takes less effort to smile than it takes to frown.

We smile for various reasons, but in most cases because of a memory or a friend or lover one. We smile when we hear a song that triggers a memory, receive a bit of good news from or about a loved one, when we get a quiet thank you. We also  smile when something nice happens, something like getting into bed with freshly washed sheets. Well, I always do.


SONRIO – find a smile

Sonriso will bring you a smile and help you to bring smiles to others. Upon pressing, it shows you a memory, an invitation to a smile.

Changing a card

    1. Remove both elastic bands
    1. Remove the inserted card
    1. Slide in the new card from the left
  1. Re-mount the elastic bands
 

Changing the battery

    1. Remove the pens and the foam inside cover
    1. At the bottom, you will see the existing battery
    1. Replace the battery
  1. Re-insert the foam inside cover and re-insert your pens

Current status

Despite the positive response to the Mark 1 version, this project has been discontinued in favour or “Arduino-Smile“.  For any questions, feel free to contact me for assembly instructions, or even the odd-one Mark 1 standing in the basement, waiting for you to start a new life.
